Where’s Waldo? Try the Biology Lab! A good book makes the characters jump out at you! Today at NDA those characters literally walked the halls! Freshman Day found members of the Class of 2018 and new faculty dressed as their favorite childhood persona. Freshman Day is part of the Big Sister/Little Sister tradition at the Academy. In September, each member of the senior class is given a freshman to mentor by leaving notes of encouragement and small gifts for her over the first six weeks of school. The freshmen do not discover the identity of their Big Sisters until an assembly on Freshman Day. Ask any graduate of the Academy and they will most likely be able to recall the name of their Big Sister or Little Sister – many becoming life-long friends!
