Where’s the Respect? To the man who yelled “ When are you F*@$ing C^&ts going to pay your F*@$ing registration?” whilst we were riding in the funeral procession of a man who was killed riding his bike, I ask you, where is your respect? Why someone would do this is totally beyond me. I ask again, Where is your respect? Today, I participated in showing my respect and saying goodbye, along with many other people at the Mareeba Catholic Church for an inspirational family man, Owen Goulding. A husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle, cousin & friend who loved his family, friends and his community. As many of us rode our bikes in the procession to the cemetery it was good to see the people who lined the streets to pay their respects to Owen’s family. How quickly things can change…. We all heard it. You are a gutless little man. Most, if not all bike riders are also motorists who do pay registration. I ask you, does that make it better? Cyclists all have a right to use the road! How sad. A person died doing something he loved. I ask you, do you think he has paid enough ? Or perhaps you can ask his grieving family. Perhaps you can explain to us how Owen paying registration would have prevented this tragedy. We’d be happy to meet with you – name the date and time. Shame on you.
