Whether he runs or not, this act by Governor Jeb Bush is the move of someone who is not afraid to stand by his 8 years as Governor, and I have to believe it is unprecedented.. Before (and after) Jeb, no Governor had ever been more directly accessible to the people - providing his email address publicly to everyone, and personally responding or seeing to it that someone responded. Whether your cat was stuck in a tree or you had a family member suffering through a state bureaucracy, Jeb would make sure someone addressed your issue. And I suspect the emails will give insight on the inner workings of an administration that was constantly chasing big goals toward initiatives like reforming education, the most sweeping reforms of Medicaid in the programs national 45 year history, medical liability reform, challenges at state agencies, adoption and foster care reform, and myriad other bills and issues he exchanged ideas on.
