While House Republicans remained prisoners of their ideology and passed a piece of unfocused, old-fashioned legislation tonight that only seeks to send our state in the wrong direction, our Democrats did the right thing. If Im going to be a prisoner of my ideology, let it include persistence, fairness and equality. Then give me a life sentence and throw away the key. I am energized and motivated to get right back at this business tomorrow morning. I hope Democrats across the state are, too.
