While a lot has been talked about corruption in bureaucracy and politics,very little thought has been given to rampant corruption in judiciary specially the lower level where processing of cases by police is done with money in their minds and then court proceedings are delayed for consideration of money,evidence is tampered for considerations, and even judgments are bought with pleaders working like brokers.For how long Indians would continue to be suppressed under heaps after heaps of pending cases which go on and on because of Tarikh after Tarikh(dates after dates) for ridiculous reasons. Peshkars(judicial clerks) and typists in lower judiciary accept money under the very nose of JMs for both valid and invalid works which they are unable to see because Law is blind therefore Lawgivers should also become blind by default.If corruption in judiciary is minimised,cases are dispensed with in a time bound schedule and judgments specially in heinous crimes and corruption cases are delivered quickly ,there shall be huge improvement in society. Heinous crimes on women would also reduce drastically and it will bring huge improvement in the safety of the women .However I doubt that corruption is lower judiciary can be ever minimised in India because people themselves take huge interest in paying money to all concerned and consider this corruption as a way of life.
