While everyone is talking about the government phone tapping, remember.... While many may want to spin this onto the Obama administration, really, this is slippery slope that was passed in 2002 more commonly known as "The Patriot Act". When it was passed, a lot of provisions were granted that most of the centrists, and those awful liberals screamed about. However, with 9-11 fresh in peoples minds, how could anyone be against something called the Patriot Act? If they were, they must be anti-American. Problem was the infrastructure to gather all of this data was not in place. Guess hat, the budgets were allocated and over the last 10 years they have been building it, and still are. The recent "whistle blow" is really nothing more than making people aware of what is happening under this law.
