While golfing yesterday, I spotted a big flying V with about twenty birds. We dont get birds in wedges this time of year often so I followed them. It was a flock of blue ibises that hit the course when the upper lake gets shallow. The birds then work the shallows for what they offer. The lake was hard dirt dry; they were half a day early by my estimation. Well see how much run-off collected. If these monsoons continue, the lake will fill and run off.
