While his 18th Century classic, The Wealth of Nations is largely regarded as the primary and fundamental book of Capitalism, Adam Smith was at heart a philosopher with a deep understanding of human nature. Far from money-focused he was much more concerned with the human condition. In Russ Roberts newest book, he plumbs the depths of people-wisdom from Smiths less-read but very powerful book, The Theory of Moral Sentiments. On a personal note, rarely have I been touched so deeply by any one book.
