While i am taking a break from FB, I had to share this story tonight. Classic Christmas Vacation moment for our family. I was outside getting Christmas lights laid out to hang. I had the garage door open and the door into the den was open as well. As I was coming into the den from being done outside I heard Michele Gilbert screaming. I thought it was a mouse, but once I climbed to the top of stairs a sillouette by the front door caught my eye in my peripheral vision. I looked over and saw him. It was a quite plump and freaked out squirrel. He saw me come towards him and he shot into the living room. He was freaked out and jumped up and over the couch. Malachi had been laying on the couch and he cleared him and ran through the kitchen. Michele grabbed him and headed out the back door. I told them to relax and I tried to corral him through the front door but he was having none of that. He made multiple passes through the living room, dining room and hurdles over the couch like three times...once he paused at the top and looked straight at me. I was ready for him to leap at me, but he didnt. Finally I propped the front door open and I was able to lead him out the door. He banged into the glass as he exited. All I could see was him shooting down the street quite fast. He was not looking back. We all had a good laugh after getting settled down. Great memories for us this year. #thanksgiving2014 #squirrelstory
