While in Abu Dhabi we decided to pray Fajr in the grand Shaykh - TopicsExpress

While in Abu Dhabi we decided to pray Fajr in the grand Shaykh Zayed Masjid. We got into a taxi and the driver kindly drove us through the empty streets until we reached a busy street with lots of cars and people. I asked the driver if all those people are going to pray Fajr. The driver laughed and said, These people are not going for Fajr. There is a nightclub in the area. You are lucky if you find a dozen people in the masjid. Finally after arriving at the masjid, its architecture caught my eyes but disappointment overwhelmed because only ten people showed up: The Imam, the Muazin, and the workers in charge of maintenance and security at the Masjid. I was reminded that money can create architectural wonders but it cannot guide hearts toward light. Muslims must build bridges between hearts and across minds before building minarets and domes.
