While its obvious by my posts alone that I love my country, we are not the greatest. What was built on hope and bravery has crumbled to greed and weakness. We flock to work to make ends meet passing by those struggling just to feed themselves. And yes, while this does happen all over the world, one cannot help their neighbor without first correcting themselves. We divide ourselves through nationalities like Irish, Italian, or German; by political interests like liberal, conservative, or libertarian; by race like whites, blacks, or Latinos. We forget that we are all human. We forget that we, as a nation, have a say. We are a republic, damn it. And I think its time we start acting like one. Our children, our friends, our families deserve better than what we are giving them. Its time to stop dividing ourselves. The time to unite has never been greater. We can no longer allow petty differences to separate us any longer. We must stand together, because divided... we fall.
