While listening to a Christian radio preacher yesterday, he stated we need to stand strong in our convictions of the word of God. I had heard another radio preacher say basically the same thing a week before, adding how the apostles stood strong even on to death. They spoke of the martyrs of old how they didn’t relent to their beliefs. Having studied a bit on early church history I know many Christians were killed during the crusades for standing strong to their beliefs. Please don’t miss understand me … It was the crusaders that martyred the Christians. Christians who kept the feasts of God and His Sabbath. The Jews were killed for holding true to the Shama (listen) as told in: Deuteronomy 6:4-9 “Hear, O Israel! The Lord is our God, the Lord is one! You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. These words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand and they shall be as frontals on your forehead. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates. Witnessed by: Deuteronomy 11:13-21 Crusaders would watch on Friday at sunset to see who lite candles, same at feast times or if they came up onto a group of Jews or a single Jew and command them to hold to the trinity and Sunday worship or die! Both very contrary teachings to their beliefs. Tell me, if you were raised knowing what all generations taught, passed back from Mount Sinai, words commanded by God … What would you do; live or die? My point in this is the preachers who say we must hold to the truth in Gods word … we must stand strong in our convictions, truly mean we must stand strong in what their church teaches. If I attended their church being a Sabbath, feast keeper, I would be told to surrender my convictions and follow theirs; contrary to their own teachings. Seems so ironic to me that Christians still prosecute Christians. I believe the greater part of Christendom teach enough truth to get followers into Yeshua Messiah’s kingdom. Those who followed His word, our bible the closest will be rewarded for it … those who didn’t will be taught the truth. All must surrender to the word of God and follow it in order to pass from the millennium into Gods final kingdom at His coming. Revelation 12:17 Then the dragon was angry with the woman, and went off to make war on the rest of her children, those who keep the commandments of God and hold the testimony of Jesus. Revelation 14:12 Here is a call for the endurance of the saints, those who keep the commandments of God and hold fast to the faith of Jesus.
