While the storms this afternoon have been fierce in many locations, indications are that the situation is calming some. Much of the northern half of the viewing area has had the Severe Thunderstorm Watch cancelled. The southeastern portion of the area continues a Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 9 PM. Severe Storm Warnings continue for Pike counties IL and MO and Scott County IL until 6:15 PM.
