While the struggle between evil ( selfishness) and good ( compassion ) has been around since man became self aware, I often find myself longing for the stability of the Victorian Era, when time was measured by the rising of the sun and people looked into each others eyes instead of a cell phone screen. I suppose the extended family enjoyed and needed in times of yore is something I desire, having no close blood family. Its what spurred me to contemplate monastic life, to join guilds of MMORPGs and enjoy countless renaissance fairies. I am fortunate to have friends that are like sisters ( and brothers ), and even mothers to fill the holes that form in highly dysfunctional families. Heres to 2015: And all my Loving Friends! Some of you will be my neighbors soon! Blessings on you all, for you are worth more to me than all the riches and vanities the world can offer
