While touring the Little Big Horn Battlefield where Custer took his last stand, we found the whole area to be quite sobering with many, many headstones marking where each of the soldiers, both Native American and US forces, fell during the battle. As we were standing atop a hill of the battlefield we were surprised to see one of the wild horses that live in this area gallop across the field in front of us going directly to one of the markers of the slain soldiers to gently graze. Quite touching.
