While walking along our usual trail from the Silvery Kingfisher site (which unfortunately was a no show). We accidentally woke up a bird sleeping at day time. We didnt know what it was at first then my heart started pumping FAST when I saw the big round eyes & the ears stood up. It was an owl! This (I presume) is the mother since I saw 2-3 little owlets with her. Wasnt able to photograph them though because they were well hidden under layers of leaves. Took a couple of shots then left immediately & quietly. Quite proud of this shot, I just felt bad that we woke her up.
