While watching the State of the Union Address this evening, my husband asked, Are women in Congess the only ones who make the same as the men? I thought it a fair question. I wonder if they would consider taking a pay cut equal to the average differece that women earn compared to their male colleagues. How would their husbands feel about that? I also couldnt help wonder if Rep. Cathy Rodgers (R) got paid leave to have her babies. Also, does the insurance that Congress has cover birth control for the females? If it doesnt, and they get pregnant while in office, is that because they cant control their libido? If they cant control their libido, is that why nothing is getting done? I greatly respect the women who have made it to Washington, dont get me wrong. I just have always asked questions!
