Whilst on our Tassie photo trip, we discussed FX (Full frame) vs DX (Crop sensor) and the claim that a FX lens on a DX camera will increase the zoom by 1.5 times.....so we did a little test. The first picture was taken with a Nikon D800 FX 36.2 Megapixel with a 200mm lens at 200mm. The second pic was taken with a Nikon D80 DX 10.2 Megapixel using the same lens from the same spot. Both image sizes were divided by 6 and placed on a 1400 pixel wide black canvas just for comparison.
