Whilst the National Country Fair may be the biggest event in the Borris Tidy Town Association’s Gathering programme it is certainly not the only one and with a week-long offering of events in the town, Borris will be bustling with entertainment. This includes the ever-popular Old Favourites Nostalgic Night featuring music from the 60s, 70, and 80s in the Green Drake Inn on the eve of the National Country Fair, Friday 2nd August, starting at 9.00 p.m. Sunday 4th August sees the Borris Gathering Barbecue in the Step House Hotel from 8.00 pm and features live music at the venue. The week-long Gathering activities conclude with the book launch of the Borris to Passage East Railway in Borris House on Friday 9th & Saturday 10th August.
