White Elephant - If you have the chance to visit Clark, try driving a little farther than Fontana and you will see a vast abandoned structure, ex- President Fidel Ramos Centennial Project. After the govt spent hundreds of millions if not billions of pesos in that ill concieved, corruption riddled, megalomaniac project, all you can see are huge structures sorrounded by weeds. Instead of wasting billions of pesos in this monstrous stupidity, they could have purchased all the latest equipment and technology in crime investigation such as the AFIS so that our NBI clearance system would be fingerprint based to eliminate complaints about namesakes. Could you blame me if everytime I see former Pres. Ramos dishes his unsolicited advices on TV aping Lee Kuan Yew, I always turn it off?
