White washing Communal Criminals...NDA II repeat of NDA I asianage/india/cbi-moves-remove-vhp-leader-name-fir-446 CBI moves to remove VHP leader name in FIR Jul 15, 2014 - PRAMOD KUMAR | New Delhi The CBI has decided to seek permission from the Rae Bareli special court for removal of senior Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) leader Giriraj Kishore’s name from the list of accused in the Babri Masjid demolition case after his death. Giriraj Kishore, 94, who was actively associated with the Ram temple agitation, died here on Sunday evening following prolonged illness. Sources said, “The agency will move an application before the Rae Bareli special court on July 19, next date of hearing in the case. The CBI will also attach a copy of his death certificate along with its plea for the removal of his name from the list of accused”. The other accused in the case include: Dr Murli Manohar Joshi, Vinay Katiyar, Uma Bharti, Ashok Singhal, Vishnu Hari Dalmiya and Sadhvi Ritambhara. The CBI is now preparing for the deposition of 51st prosecution witness in the case before the court on July 19. So far, 50 witnesses have been examined in the case before the court. Following the demolition of Babri masjid on December 6, 1992, two FIRs were registered under FIR No. 197/1992 and 198/1992 at police station Ayodhya in Faizabad. The Rae Bareli court is hearing the case related to FIR no. 198/1992. The first statement which was recorded in the case was of Hanuman Prasad on December 5, 2007, in the Rae Bareli court. He was a “munshi” posted with the local police station and he registered the FIR into the demolition of the Babri Masjid mosque. Second witness to record his statement was R K Swami on December 13, 2007. Swami was the Deputy Commandant of the Central Reserve Police Force who was posted there. Recording of Swami’s statement and further cross examination continued till April 8, 2008. On July 8, 2008, the third witness in the case Mohammad Aslam recorded his statement before the court. The fourth witness was Avdesh Upadhyaya.
