Who in the world would like a job in which they are hired to make decisions, yet can postpone decisions nearly indefinitely- get paid for avoiding your job? Our legislative system has gone from making radical leaps for the advancement of society, occasionally making a mistake but correcting it, to cowering from making any decision afraid that it could upset people. In all the history of the States the only unanimous decision was to elect Washington the first president and even that was rife with uncertainty about what a president was. Individuals are encouraged to make mistakes so long as they learn from them. Why is this widespread idea not applicable to the widespread individual?
