Who seeks to legislate breathing? We need enact no law which only corroborates our own nature. Therefore, all laws are in place to circumscribe, restrict, control, or otherwise defeat the natural expression of the individual. And so it goes in our personal relationships as well. We make no requirements of those who would, of their own accord, do as we wish. We make requirements instead of those whose true heart, free and unfettered, would run contrary to our wishes. And in the name of marriage, partnership, and commitment we impose restrictions on the very one we claim to love. Is it not better to seek relationships with those who by their own nature already conform to or complement our wishes and needs?
