Who would have guessed that what could well have been the last *ever* public performance of the - remaining 5 - Monty Pythons tonite in London would culminate (for me, at least) in a brilliant astronomical meta-sketch! Not only were Stephen Hawking and Brian Cox in the audience, they also acted in a precorded hilarious new coda to the famous Galaxy Song youtube/watch?v=buqtdpuZxvk performed by Eric Idle. While some numbers re. the Galaxy had been changed, Cox - in a taped piece from Cambridge - offered various pedantic remarks. Until run over by Hawking in his wheelchair who then sang the song again with his famous computer voice. And lifted off, to fly right into the Galactic Center.
