Whoa....we just added over 20 new community members in the last hour. Crazy! WELCOME NEWBIES!!! Obviously you are here because you support PPR and all things rescue related. And we welcome you with open paws! So a little history. We started as a very small group a few months ago and tested the apps for a couple months before announcing it on the PPR page and creating this community within a community. This is our core group and we have the added benefit of having become amazing friends through this effort, even though most of us have never met face to face. Any question you have can be answered on this page. Everyone is welcome to answer. And we encourage lots of participation through posts, pictures, comments, and questions. We are fun, crazy, committed, encouraging, like stickers, dogs, crazy hats, Nikes, Sketchers, Pumas, and flip flops. We talk about dogs, walks, the weather, the rescue, and CAKE. WE. ALWAYS. TALK. ABOUT. CAKE. Each week we choose a new cover model based on different criteria, the only consistent criteria is that the individual chosen is someone who SHOWS UP. Its not about the most miles, because around here we appreciate EFFORT. We encourage you to grab friends, dogs, dogs of friends, kids, husbands, moms, dads, your iPod, your water bottle, whatever you need to do to get you out the door and start moving. We have a VIRTUAL COMMUNITY WALK scheduled for Sunday February 1, 2015 from 9am-10am (pacific time) and will have one big long thread of posts, pictures, encouraging comments, and hopefully someone will show up with some virtual cake! Our goal is to see what we can do in one hour, and do it as a community! There is so much to say, but instead I will just repost some of the past announcements so you can catch up. But seriously, have a question...ASK!!! We have a great group of people who will jump in and answer any Qs! Dont be skurred, we all had those questions! Ok. You need to know two things. 1.
