Why Tulu state is not fair demand? I am asking this question to the people those who are opposing our demand. We have plenty of reason to demand separate statehood. Yes. Absolutely we have. Couple of days back I was talking to my friend. He said I dont know how long I can live here. I am not surprised. Because this was running through my mind since long time. Already Nandikoor- Yellur region has been announced as Industrial area. Slowly polluting industries are coming up here.. One thing deeply shook me is If all these projects, which are waiting for nod , comes up to coastal area. Then, it will going to be hell in our region. Nobody is sensing that what would happen? Industrialist of this region would put forward industrial development and job creation concept, as usual. As a common man what is our stand? We need to decide it. Last two decades we have observed that what had happened here. Still I will not go back to that point. My concern is, PCPIR & Niddodi. there is rumor that UPCL having plan to expand its production capacity. Simultaneously, PCPIR require 80000 acres of land. It may cover Permude to Belman. Biggest worry is that Its all petro chemical based industries. Later on slowly other industries will also gets way to take place here. Already we are all well aware about what has happened after MRPL, SEZ and UPCL. Its not only about pollution. Its about our community (Tulu, Byari, konkani and urdu speaking) has great historical background and rich cultural heritage. We are going to loose it due to all these industries. To serve Government of Karnatakas interest We are going to loose our identity, our land and our language & civilization. The small territory which we have is in danger. Does government has the capacity to install all these industries in Uttara Kannada or other part of karnataka. Does D.K Shivakumar has the capacity to install thermal power plant in Ramnagar or Channapatna? Really they dont have. Why then Udupi and Mangalore?? Becuase they all know that we are all dumb fellows. We dont have unity between us and we are all tolerate silently whatever they impose. Dear all, one day government would call this region as a industrial corridor. And might give green signal to some more industries. PCPIR alone require 80000 acres of land. Just imagine If its come true, how would be our condition? In that juncture where shall we go? Are you ready to get converted to Tulvas to Kannadigas? Will they treat us as a kannadigas? How can we leave this land where our fathers and fore fathers lived? Its not assumption. I am talking on the basis of facts. In 2010, I had filed RTI application in the office of KAIDB. I had sought details of proposed industries in Mangalore and udupi district. But, KIADB told me that there is no such proposal for acquire. But, later Padur came up. now, Niddodi and PCPIR. What exactly it suggests? Government is not dealing with us in transparent way. Nothing else . Our land should not be a means to fulfill somebodys needs. Until we are part of Karnataka we dont have option rather than oblige to the decision of the Karnataka government. My dear Tuluvas, If you want to construct home or road, near or surrounding area of UPCL or Padur you will not get NOC. Do you need isolated life? Or independent or free life? Its all up to you? Plenty of times we had written about it in Tulu nadu state. And we made clear that why we need separate state hood. We cannot explain much more than that. As Tuluvas we all have the responsibility to save our land. So many film makers pay their visit to coastal belt and shoot their movie here to enrich their cinema. When this region falls in problem, they will not owe any responsibility. We have plenty of journalists from coastal who are sitting in the capital city. but they never raise the voice whenever injustice happens to coastal belt. If nobody cares. then we have only two option, give our land to KIADB. and migrate to other place. Or Ask separate statehood
