Why Turkeys will always vote for christmas. Turkeys are only bred in numbers to dress the table once a year. If this were not our tradition, we would not breed them and they would never live. Given the option of not living vs the option of living (albeit for a relatively brief period) the turkeys will always opt for living. It is also why (IMHO) most African countries opted for self determination and paid scant attention to their economies, corruption and the rules of law. They have preferred self determination (life) to continued oppression. Similarly (and like Liv I dont have a personal view, other than that the Scots should be free to decide whatever they like) whether its economically, socially or politically advantageous for them or not, they are likely to decide its better to have lived than not to have lived at all?
