Why Virgos Are Often Single Or Wish They Were In my ebook, “Love Is In The Stars,” I make fun of Virgos. In fact, it’s the ONLY sign I make fun of. I say about them: - You’re incredibly organized. - Your idea of a good time is cleaning out your closet. - The spices in your spice rack are lined up alphabetically – and by color. Now, I’d love to tell you I’m exaggerating, but the people that I know with the Sun, Moon, or rising sign of Virgo are like this. When I joke that their closets are organized by designer, they correct me by adding, “And thread count…” In love, this compartmentalized thinking can be a good thing, or a not-so-good thing… Virgo isn’t just a detail-oriented sign. It’s an idealistic sign. So, they don’t just want any old partner. They want the PERFECT partner. (Don’t we all?) So they have to be careful of being too picky, picky, picky… Not always recognizing that the long checklist they’re insisting upon someone fulfilling is the thing that’s keeping them lost and ALONE in the woods of love. For this reason they often marry late (which works out okay, as they age more slowly than the rest of us and keep their youthful looks longer), or not at all. The thing a Virgo is most attracted to in a romantic candidate is their MIND. (And if their car is clean… I’m not kidding!) Being ruled by Mercury, the planet of the intellect, and being a mutable sign, they have quick minds themselves and endless interests, so want a partner who can keep up – and even challenge them with stimulating conversation, and playful repartee. “The thing a Virgo is most attracted to in a romantic candidate is their MIND.” Because the realm of information and ideas is their favorite place to live, Virgos can have a hard time in the domain of the emotions. This manifests in them either not knowing how they feel, or not accepting how they feel. It’s also a “do the right thing” and “don’t rock the boat” kind of sign, so much so that they struggle most in relationships with being fully THEMSELVES. You see, not only are they idealistic about a partner’s checklist of qualities and life situation, they’re all the more so with THEIR OWN. So, they’ll “try” to be what they’re “supposed” to be, or be the best, most positive version of themselves possible – caring too much what people think, or how they look, or that they not upset anyone. They sweep what they really need or want, and what’s really going on in that chatty brain and sensitive heart of theirs, under their perfectly vacuumed rug. Because it’s the natural sixth sign of the zodiac, Virgos focus on topics having to do with health, fitness, service, counseling, teaching, and animals – and are most comfortable being behind the scenes. This is a shy, sensitive sign, prone to WORRY and anxiety. And it’s a feminine sign, causing even men of this sign to be passive and yielding – waiting for love to come and find them. And, once they’ve been hurt, they don’t want to stick their neck – or their heart – out again… So if you’re drawn to a Virgo, you may need to send him VERY obvious signals, or ask him out first. But it’s worth it, because a Virgo in love is a kind, giving, sweet partner who (unless otherwise afflicted) is ethical, wise, fair, and endlessly supportive, always striving to be the best they can be, and help the one they love be so as well. You may not realize there are actually THREE constellations in the sign of Virgo that are distinct from one another and which add a great deal more detail into their personality and ability to relate than you’ve probably ever heard before. In other words, there’s soooo much more to a person than just their zodiac sign. In my eBook “Love Is In The Stars” I talk about both perspectives when comes to relationships: The “astrology” side of things, as well as the “real-world” side. #DamStr8
