Why You Want to Eat Broccoli? ~ Broccoli is considered a cruciferous vegetable and is a part of the cabbage family, if you didnt know that. It contains anti-inflammatory nutrients, antioxidant nutrients, detox-support nutrients, anti-cancer nutrients, and naturally contains two important phytochemicals, indoles and isothiocyanates. As a side note, since skin cells can carry out the process of detoxification, it may be detox-related benefits of sulforaphane that are especially important in helping to counteract sun damage. It’s low in saturated fat. There’s no cholesterol. Broccoli is high in: calcium, iron, manganese, magnesium, pantothenic acid, phosphorus, potassium, riboflavin, thiamin, vitamin B6, and contains vitamins A and K and contains lutein. It’s very high in vitamin C and very high in dietary fiber. There arent many bad side effects for the average person eating broccoli, speaking as a person with no known indications of any bodily mal-functions, under-functions or over-functions. However, people with iron issues and goiter issues (an enlarged thyroid) might want to use caution. Because broccoli is one of the great detoxifiers, you certainly do not want to go overboard either, Ok? 1/2 cup to a full cup of broccoli is reasonable ~ O!
