Why adopt a rat? TONS oreasons! Rats are very smart. They can learn to respond to their name and can learn many little tricks. Rats are fun! Rats are clean. They spend a lot of time grooming themselves, and can even learn to use a corner litter box. Rats love food. In addition to rat food, they can fresh fruits and veggies, pasta, beans, crackers and just about anything that you’d like to share with them. They are very social and do best with a cage mate or two so they can play and cuddle together. The more you handle them, the more they enjoy being handled. They will need ½ hour – 1 hour of interaction time each day with their owner.
