Why am I a Cubs fan? This man, right here! No words can truly describe how I feel right now - Ernie Banks had a profound affect on me growing up. I had the pleasure of meeting him on several occasions at baseball camp, learning the fundamentals of the game I loved, from one of its greatest players. A man who I viewed as someone a professional ballplayer should be like! There was no ego, no attitude - just a man who loved the game and wanted nothing more than to teach it, and instill a passion like his, to others.
