ADORN Sitting at the table spacing out,surrounded by the boys at Peters house playing last card torture,kicking back after a mean feed. Sundays were always a chilled day wiv church then Lunch which was always followed by a power nap. The sounds of laughter from the boys had Kendel smiling. Peters sister and her friends from church stood at the kitchen sink washing up and laughing,lost in their own world as they cleared the benches wiv not a care in the world. And ignoring the boys loud laughter. Kendel stared at his friends sister Lilly. It wasnt a secret how she felt towards Kendel though she thought noone knew,Peter always made a joke of how shy she would get around him. She was pretty and kind and sang like a angel and not for the first time did Kendel question why he couldnt find himself attracted to a nice girl like Lilly. And then it hit him that no girl has ever sparked his interest since Alexia. His ex who moved back to her homeland puerto Rico wiv her parents. The distance crumbling their once unbreakable relationship. Kendel leaned back in his chair feeling resigned. The intake of air from the boys had kendel lifting his head to look at them. They all had their eyes towards the loungeroom where Peters parents were. Kendel had to leaned foward to catch a glimpse of what they were looking at and felt the air being sucked out from his lungs aswell. A couple was greeting peters parents,at the door stood a girl holding a tray of food dressed in a pretty purple puletasi with a lei in her hair and a soft smile. Peter-thats her. Taga-the girl you were crushing on? Peter-yeah,my next potential. Taga-baha you wish. Kendel caught her eye for a split second before she walked in to kiss peters parents hello. Dismissed wiv a glance. Kendel sat back in his chair wiv a soft chuckle. He caught Lilly staring at him. She smiled but it didnt reach her eyes. She moved to the loungeroom where she embraced the girl warmly and ushered to the kitchen. The boys stood up. Peter opened his arms to hug her,giving the boys a wink. She kissed him on the cheek and said...How are you bro? The crushed look that crossed Peters face before he masked it wiv a tight smile became too much for the boys who burst out laughing at Peter being friendzoned. #Lilcub
