Why did the groundhog cross the road? Well I suspect this one was trying to assassinate me... I was blowing myself to pieces trying to make it to Wayne College after pedaling out of Millersburg a half-hour later than planned and had just about made it without incident when I spotted this gigantic groundhog in a field off Rohrer Road. I see him, he sees me, we are 50 feet apart...until he starts running right at the road, then into the road, then INTO THE SPACE BETWEEN MY FRONT AND REAR WHEELS! I ran squarely over him with a shockingly loud "whomp!" I pitched into a sketchy nose-manual, but pulled out of it unscathed (other than more or less shitting myself.) Mr. Groundhog got off his back, looked at me like "WTF?" and wobbled off into the brush. Oh, the life of me. What the hell?
