Why do so many African-Americans and other Africans in the Diaspora believe that Africans sold them into slavery? I will address whether that is true or not true in a later post but my question right now is why do so many of us believe it, without any real investigation? And most of the people I hear make this claim are not scholars and have not done any significant research but they take the idea and run with it. Indeed, they seem to relish it! Why are you so quick to believe something of which you obviously know so little about and which is so harmful to Black unity? Why is that? And do you realize the harm that you do by making such blanket statements?
