Why do so many people fail to see how corrupt police behavior CAUSES people to reasonably conclude that there is no law? Yes, individuals ARE responsible for their own behaviors, but please just consider what its like to be the target of professional lawlessness and to ALSO be expected to acquiesce absolutely perfectly to the demands of officers who can and do use the slightest ambiguity to violate your rights. Yes, there ARE bad criminals out there so police have special problems, but the kind of official behavior described here and elsewhere just makes everything geometrically worse! Its actually SELF-DEFEATING for police to be so careless about protecting the rights of the people.
