Why has Spalding not got any decent green space? People moan about children playing football at the vista, children hanging around the street. We have just moved to Spalding with our children and are amazed there is no where to go for them to go to let off some energy. We often go to Ayscoughfee Hall which is a nice playground for smaller children, but there is nothing for over 7s. I read on here a complaint last week about older children hogging equipment, I am not surprised if they are not even provided with a swing. Alot of other councils have invested in their youth of today providing water parks, zip wires and excercise equipment. Is this not the best thing for all children, fresh air, fun and excercise. There is a national problem with obesity and community cohesion. Would it not be great to have children of all nationalitys playing together and having fun. Before ALL the moaners come on saying it would only get ruined. 1,We need to give people a chance. 2,why should all children miss out for the actions of a few. 3,Peterborough has all three and manage to keep them in clean usable condition, and Peterborough has more problems than us. Although there maybe a good park in Spalding I have not yet discovered if so could you ket me know ? :-)
