Why is renting a car almost never a good experience?!? I just rented a car for a trip in the US - so first I got to rentalcars and find what I think is a pretty good deal with Budget. But then I think, wait - lets check the Budget site directly - and low and behold the price is 29% cheaper on Budgets site for the exact same car and rental conditions than on rentalcars, which is a lot because I have to rent a big car for a week. So then I am almost done with the booking and I notice there is a spot where you can fill in a coupon code on Budgets site. So I search for a coupon code online and find one and then put it in - so what happens? The site puts me back at step 1 so I have to reenter all my information - everything all over again. And then when the price is quoted to me - hahahaha...it is almost twice as expensive as without the code. What is going on here???? So then I have to start all over again and enter my info without the code. Whew - finally - what I thought would take 10 minutes ended up taking 30 minutes. But at least I managed to rent the car - but well see what happens when I get to the pickup desk! :-) @budget rentalcars
