Why is this interesting? Well for one most would be surprised that for all the rhetoric, the US hadntmilitaryially decided to confront IS head on, but it is IS and the US, kinda like a father slapping his wayward son. But something else, the Pentagon lost a court bid to pension off thousands of officers early and at a lower pay rate, that is actually good and proper, they deserve full benefits for loyal service. I was discussing this court victory with colleagues and we thought allowed, the only way out of this $billion black hole for the Pentagon and Washington is to start another war which would allow the deployment en masse of thousands of troops thereby creating the justification for these thousands of surplus troops they currently have no use for. Right on cue two days later, completely unrelated off course, Obama asks congress to authorise force (military action) against IS.
