Why me? One of the most common questions asked in the Church - TopicsExpress

Why me? One of the most common questions asked in the Church today. I decided to do a little research on this very fact. Jeremiah 1:5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations. The scripture above is where I want to start with this subject. We as a Church struggle day to day with different things. Trials, temptations, fights, pain, ailments, diseases and so much more plague our lives day after day. No matter who we are, what walk of life we have, what color or gender, or anything else makes us any less human which means we all live here in the flesh and battle the devil. I could go a lot of different ways with this like God made you so He knows what you can handle or You were made for a reason, but I want to talk about your value. We always ask the questions but do we really want the answers? 2 Tim: 3:12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. We tend to have the belief that when we come to know Jesus, everything will get better. That’s not the case. Paul is telling Timothy in this chapter about what he suffered in the Name of Jesus. It’s not easy. It never will be easy. If you have accepted Christ in your life and decided to live holy and acceptable unto the perfect Will of God, then you will suffer persecution. There are no ifs ands, or buts about it. It’s what people who stand up for something, such as Jesus, go through. It’s not a punishment but rather a reward to suffer persecution. It’s not judgment but rather a blessing to suffer persecution. But why must I go through so much? Are you ready? It is because of the value you carry. Jeremiah 1:5 told us that God did 2 things: sanctified thee and ordained thee. If God has sanctified you, He has made you holy. If God has ordained you, He has called you. If He has called you then He has given you purpose. If He has given you purpose, then God has given you value! You still have not told me why I go through so much… Do thieves go break into empty houses? The devil is not after your physical, fleshly being but rather your value. Satan isn’t after the fact that you are alive, but he is after your calling. He is worried about you, he is worried about your purpose. If God knew what we would do before He formed us, don’t you think that the devil ought to be scared? So you go through so much as a Christian because of the potential inside of you. You go through so much because the devil doesnt want you to tap into that untapped potential inside of you. He doesnt want you to realize that there is a Greater Existence inside of you. Why do I say existence? It is just that! Something is inside of you that is ready to live through you! So, you have to realize that you are more than your flesh going through the motions. You have to realize that you can’t spell VALUE without YOU! Stay tuned for part 2…. God Bless, Pastor Joey
