Why pretend to be a nationalist when all you do is to kill people? - TopicsExpress

Why pretend to be a nationalist when all you do is to kill people? This question goes to the president of South Sudan and his circles in Juba. Approximately ten good years passed by with no effort being made to complete renovating institutional buildings in Juba, Malakal, or Wau. In fact, in the last two years I couldnt believe my eyes seeing government assigned individuals very busy building nice houses, private businesses for themselves, while the country parliament lie littered with plastic bottles in the center of the city of Juba with no internet services. Oftentimes, these politicians put a good show of seemingly political loyalty to the president, but they are pretenders, ONLY. It is only in South Sudan that a government has a license of massacring its own citizens and sent hundreds of thousands to United Nations Protection Sites in many parts of the country and yet, these pretenders dont want to tell their boss that there is an enormous need for a change of policies if they were to continue ruling the nation. Good job dummies! This writer knows pretty well that the president had promoted people of bad characters but the onus is on him for he should be politically conscious of the consequences of those personalities around him because one day, he would finally be tied up in jail. With poorly fabricated coup attempt, the countrys manpower is drained and certainly seventy percent of the national armed forces have defected, a considerable number of skilled workers are seeking refuge in neighbouring countries. Too bad. Almost everyone who has no business with Salva Kiir Mayardit and selected few in the government realizes that the only alternative to this nightmare is to remove that dictator from power. Nothing less! This change would be followed with introduction of federalism which will allow distribution of powers between federal and state governments. Each state will then give more powers to county authorities. The president is against this state restructuring putting hindrances along each path. These include but not limited to recruiting militias from different groups across the country so that they can terrorize citizens as was witnessed recently in Maban county, Upper Nile State. This failed government must go before we see more government supported Somali-type militants in South Sudan soil. The time is right and now it is.
