Will I be Paralyzed? I can feel the boat ripping apart as the momentum of the drop , clips fragments from cliffs and trees embedded within this swamp waterfall. Seems like I was falling forever praying the fall wouldnt kill me. The kayak splintered in pieces , tossed around like a beach ball. I m still falling with nothing but my fear. Ughhh. I land In a quicksand type foliage , feeling a branch or rock slicing through my wrist . Blood was profusely pouring out of the bottle cap size hole . . I had to find something , anything to make a tourniquet before I lose consciousness , or possibly the entire arm. Maybe I could use the seaweed type plants that were floating about . I gathered about 20 pieces of seaweed tied them together and wrapped them around my arm. the bleeding slowed down , but was still flowing pretty strongly. I had an idea. I reach my left arm in the tar black water , hoping to find some mud with the right consistency for an adhesive for my wound.. Pulled a soggy glob of mud from under my feet , and smacked it on my wrist..The pain was tremendous . The muds slivers of broken crab claws irritate the wound , pricking the seaweed sutures In an irritating rug burn type pain .
