Will someone please explain the following to me? I will not send my child to school if he is sick for 3 reasons: 1. He is sick and does not feel well. 2. I dont want your child exposed to what my child has. 3. The school system says do not send a child to school if they have had a fever within 24 hours. Gabriel has had a fever this week so he missed school Tuesday & Wednesday. Today, I sent a note explaining why he was out so that he would be excused for the 2 days. His teacher threw it away because he can only be excused with a doctors excuse. Im NOT taking my child to see a doctor, sit in a waiting room, & pay an office visit just to have the doctor tell me that my child had a cold, fever, virus, or diarrhea just to get an excuse when I know what is wrong. The school board needs to get some common sense!
