William Caesar On day back in Christmas 1983 at the supermarket on the junction of the Monrovia -Kakata highway and the Robertsfield highway my wife and I were having a discussion with a former public works minister . Vice head of state J. Nicolas Podier arrived in a brand new red convertible just as a Santa and his entourage were being evicted from the supermarket. They had gone there to beg for money the Liberian way. As they came out of the supermarket the Santa yelled out to the manager and to all us bystanders that when the civil war comes, they were going to come and destroy the building. We all had a long laugh and went about our business. The moral of this story is, beware the ravings of a Santa
