William T. Stribling CROSS ANCHOR- William Thomas Stribling,84, of 238 Burnt Factory Road died Tuesday, October 08, 2013 at Martha Franks Retirement Center in Laurens. A native of Spartanburg County, he was the son of the late James Boyd and Annie Parham Stribling. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and was a retired contractor. He was a veteran of the Korean War. Surviving are his wife, Mary Alice Knighton Stribling of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Bruce and Wanda Stribling of Cross Anchor; one sister, Virginia Smith of Pauline; two grandchildren, Michael Stribling and his wife Joni and Stephanie Postol and her husband, Mitch; four great-grandchildren, Noah and Hanna Stribling and Peyton and Sydney Postol. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, October 10, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary Chapel by Rev. Jimmy Farmer and Rev. Stephen Cannon. Interment will follow in Cedar Shoals Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00-12:45 P.M. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Cedar Shoals Baptist Church, 220 Cedar Shoals Church Road, Enoree, S.C. 29335. The family is at the home. Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary Woodruff
