Wisconsins 128 employees of Madison Water Utility repaired 306 main water breaks this winter. Don Russell, a 23-year-employee, said, “One way to put it in perspective is that I was only home for supper two times in the six-week span from Jan. 1 through mid-February,” he said. “That includes weekends. I was a stranger to my family. The city government passed a resolution of thanks to recognize the workers for their hard work, most of whom are members of AFSCME Local 60 (Council 40). Job well done, men and women of Madison Water Utility!
