Wish Kid Chase gets story in People, support from Cindy Crawford A local Wish Child is getting his wish this week, was featured in People Magazine, and will receive bone marrow treatment later this summer, with the support of celebrity Cindy Crawford. Chase, a two-year-old with leukemia, from Rensselaer, drew the celebrity’s attention as Crawford lost a younger brother at the age of three to leukemia. A successful model and businesswoman, she has worked with support and advocacy groups to help find bone marrow matches and donors. Crawford joined Chase’s effort, and now it has been confirmed that a match for Chase has been found. Chase, who is being treated at the Children’s Hospital at Albany Medical Center, is scheduled for his wish trip to Disney World this week, with his medical procedures set for later this summer.
