Wishful Thinking by the Knickerbockers was the B-side of Come and Get It, which was released in June 1967, but only bubbled under the Hot 100. Talk about a change in style; the group started out in 65 with a British Invasion / psychedelic approach, but here, two years later, were sounding an awful lot like the Righteous Brothers, complete with the Spector Wall of Sound. In fact, they sounded so much like them that, during a brief late 60s spat between Bill Medley and Bobby Hatfield, Medley recruited the lead vocalist here, Jimmy Walker, to fill a couple of Righteous Brothers concert dates when Hatfield walked out. youtube/watch?v=zEFyfvKTOQ4
