Wishing all my friends a sweet, happy, and healthy Jewish New Year. Here is a poem I wrote in honor of the holiday: Rosh Hashana Run to greet the King He has arrived With arms open to embrace His children Run to greet the King With instruments and dancing We raise our voices and we sing. Wrap your arms tightly around this precious gift called life Offerings of joy and faith no time for hate and strife. With highest forms of creativity Spin your imagination into gold for Him with courage strength and energy Build a world where love resides. Peace is fragile yet endures Like the ancient mountains of Yisrael. That soothe the soul We drink the dews of kaddushah with our eyes, our lips kiss the wind and sun. Offer prayers to the Holy One and rush to meet the brand new year Disregard the shadows and the fear. This exquisite dance is brief tragedy is a theif be brave enough to feel the grief of human suffering. On bended knees we beg for salvation Then lift our hearts in celebration.
