With Christ you need nor worry so much about precisely how you pray, whether or not you are getting your words out just right, using enough scripture, praying long enough, sounding holy enough or any of that. Because we have been justified by our faith in Christ, and not language or any act of service we can simply approach God on the basis of Christs shed blood for us! How many times have you not known how to pray, yet you still have a desire to connect with God? Maybe guilt, grief or depression had you thinking that you couldnt possibly offer up a petition because your substance just didnt seem meaningful or pointed enough? Not so! God is aware that at times, we will echo Pauls thoughts we do not know how to pray as we should. Rest assured that God hears the cries of your heart. He is fully ready and wanting to minister to your moanings regardless of how thoughtless they may seem. With Him its all about intimacy. Sometimes the most effective prayer Is only two words help me, because at least its genuine and from the soul. So pray in position even if you lack the lines of language, because to bend your heart toward God in desperation is to give Him the opportunity to pray for and through you by the power of the Spirit as He sees fit! (Romans 8:26) Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
