With a humble attitude, I have to admit, I am a blessed man. Today marks the end of my Summer Season and that in itself is bitter sweet. So last night, I had the most amazing experience anyone could ask for. My friends got together and had a surprise birthday party for me! Yes, this Friday, Halloween, is my birthday which is going to be spent quietly with my wife in the New York Catskill Mountains. It will be the first weekend weve spent together since April. Anyway, last night was spectacular. Dinner was at Papa Grandes In Rehoboth. There, I joined Riannon Honey, Gregg Breeding, JoAnn Drummond Babbie, Christopher Mal, Ryan Ament, the one and only Chi-Town, Robbie Stephens, Doc Kemmerlin and my partner in crime, Matthew Wright! As I sat down drinks were immediately served by Katie Callahan (Robbies girlfriend) who took care of us all like kings! After dinner we shlepped on over to the Summer House on the Avenue and from there to the Big Chill Cantina on Route 1. GOOD TIMES INDEED! Unfortunately, my wife, Debbie Panebianco, my daughters, Michaela KiKi Panebianco and Meagon Sam Panebianco, my two best men at my wedding, D.j. Gizzmo and Bismarck Bis Sibaja were unable to share the night with me because of scheduling conflicts, but their love was still felt by me the entire evening. I write this because, over the years, I have tried to give back to people. Whether it be coaching, djing, advice, honest conversation, dedication to projects, or just plain hard work, Ive always tried to give my best without expecting anything in return. And inevitably, blessings are given back. To Dewey Beach, Alex Pires, Mike McGraw, John Snow, Joey Adams, Vikki Walls and Meggin Holtzclaw, thank you for allowing me to make a difference in your venues! Many people wish for the same opportunities. To Chris Mal, you are responsible for opening the many doors Ive walked through here and for my sometimes broken back :-). As good as this year was, wait till 2015! To my dj friends, D.j. Hector, Gregg Breeding, Chad DjUneek Messina, Steve Montsch, Anthony Matalavage, Brett McGee, Frank Torres, All of you helped to maintain the highest level of Dewey Beachs expectations! You all made me look good and for that I thank you! And then theres my lovely wife. How do you do it? Weekend after weekend you let me leave to work away from home. My heart and thoughts are about you constantly (just ask anybody). You are truly, my friend, my love, and my champion. But most of all you are my wife, the biggest blessing, next to my children. I love you Debbie Panebianco! So here we go. Old Man Winter is just around the corner and so is Spring! If you enjoyed yourself this year, wait till next! Safe Holidays to all and Ill see you back at the Rusty Rudder for their NEW YEARS EVE PARTY with The Rockets!
